A gentle touch combined with an effective approach. Chiropractic treatments can be effective for an incredible array of issues ranging from pain and injury to Digestive, Nervous System and Sleep issues.
Did you know Chiropractic treatments include Diversified adjustive technique, hands-on soft tissue therapies (muscle release work), breathing corrective exercises and movement correctives as taught in Immaculate Dissection, active exercise programming (SFMA), Neurokinetic Therapy assessments, tool-assisted myofascial release, motor control reprogramming, and McKenzie MDT therapy protocols for spinal/disc-related disorders, just to name a few!
Our Chiropractors are highly skilled in their assessment protocols, using movement based assessments focusing on how you move to help you move and feel better. A thorough orthopaedic, neurological, postural, and movement exam is performed to get to the root of each issue.
A typical Chiropractic Rehabilitation appointment at BODability starts with each patient filling out a thorough intake assessment form, this allows the practitioners to see a full picture of the patient and not just the symptoms that they complain of that day. The history component is essential in helping accurately diagnose and prepare a treatment plan for each patient.
When you arrive for your appointment with Dr. Chadha, you will continue the intake interview with more specific questions relating to your chief complaint. She will do a full systems assessment and then explain to you the assessment that she will perform with you that day. It varies based on your complaint but usually involves an orthopaedic, neurological, general range of motion scan, specific range of motion scan, movement assessment, Neurokinetic Therapy assessment to check for motor programming and patterns, and a breathing assessment to evaluate proper core engagement. She looks for patterns that have been created as compensatory mechanisms, which are dysfunctional movements or breathing patterns which then can lead to your specific issues. With all of the information gathered from her findings and from your intake, she will then discuss with you the findings, her diagnosis or clinical impression, and an appropriate treatment program to follow to reach your optimal results. You will have the opportunity to ask questions pertaining to your visit, diagnosis, treatment plan, and treatment options within this session, and then upon agreeing to and signing a consent to treatment, you will carry on with your initial treatment. Treatment with Dr. Chadha usually involves (but is not limited to): breathing corrective training, rehabilitative exercise performance specific to your movement needs, soft tissue manipulation/release, diversified spinal adjusting, extremity adjusting, cupping-assisted soft-tissue release, visualization during movement or breathing practices, and guided self-administered soft tissue release. Dr. Chadha will also record (on your recording device or hers) your home care correctives, as this is a vital part of your recovery or performance improvement programming. No one leaves without home care correctives to follow.
